The purpose of a website is to find out all the bands information which includes upcoming tour dates, ticket prices and general information about the band. They also include added information so that fans of the band or artist are able to purchase merchandise, keep up to date with the latest news and finally see videos and photos of the band so they are able to see behind the scenes of the set. By having all of these different pages it provides the fans and viewers of the website with all the key information that you could ever need without having to go through multiple sources to find it. Also it showcases the band in such a way that it reinforces the professionalism as well as the class of the band.

Above is the Fall Out Boy Website and the first things I noticed with this is that the layout of the top bar is very similar to that of the Imagine Dragons website layout and therefore I will look to include this element within my website as it seems a common feature.
Above is the Two Door Cinema Club website and the first thing I noticed was that the home page layout is very simplistic with a video in the background which shows the band and a beach background. This is an interesting and original feature and as this is a similar genre to the one I have chosen it could be something to include to enhance the realism.
Above is the Green Day website and the first thing I notice when going through it is that their new album is heavily prominent on there and therefore when I create the website for my music video I will look to incorporate this feature to publicise the new album.
Above is the Red Hot Chilli Peppers Website and the first thing I noticed from going through it was that there is a very simplistic layout with the main navigation bar being tucked away in a separate button in the top corner which gives the main focus to the image on the website and this may be something we could look into when designing and constructing our website as it could help to make it seem more realistic based on the features found from this one as this band is part of the same genre as our chosen song.
